.......with all of the "handy grrls"?
Any one have any neat, new projects started or projects
you're going to start?
Myself? Well, living in the ultimate "fixer upper" there's always
some kind of handy girl project to do. My latest is to lay carpet
tile on a couple of problem floors.
But, one of my proudest moments was replacing an old single
pane window with a new double pane.
Hubby, didn't think I could do it. I told him it looked pretty much like a
no-brainer to me, (and it was). :)

Fri, January 19, 2007 - 10:15 AMI'm busy restoring an old cinderblock cabin in the desert. I'm currently replacing the roof and pulling out old windows. Quite the learning experience. -

Re: What's up
Mon, January 22, 2007 - 3:51 PMWell, I did something rather cool yesterday, and had a very fun time messin' with the bumper to bumper guy in the process..My right tail light was out, so i figured, what the heck, my hubby is in OKLAHOMA (where the winds go whippin' down the planes) so I grabbed my handy dandy manual, opened to page 6-36, and there, in the center of the page, was the picture of what I needed to do.
I was pretty sure I needed the 164 bulbs, but thought I'd just check to be sure. I explained in great detail to the dude what I was doing. He gave me one of those- Yah- YOU are doing it, ok... I'm thinking- ok "whatever"- and he says I need the 3057's. They certainally didn't look like the bulbs that I knew were out, but again, I wasn't 100% sure- (life lesson- trust yourself in times like these)
12 wing nuts later (no, not the bumper to bumper guy )- I had the whole rear end of my car sitting in the trunk. And lo and behold, I needed the 164's, not the 3057's I had in my hand. Well, I wasn't going to re-assemble my rear end ( as if I could- he he) so I hopped in the old jaloppy of ours and headed back down to the B2B. I walked in, and the dude says "NO WAY- I was wrong???" I just looked at him, and he gave me the new bulbs. Once back at home, I put in the new 164's, and whalllaaa- new tail lights. It is really easy to do if you have the right bulbs!!!! -
