OK, all you handy grrls. I throw down the welding glove in challenge for you all to commit random acts of handiness... I did this yesterday & it feels great!
You don't even have to be all that handy. It can be as simple as shovelling your neighbor's walk, scooping snow off other cars while yours is warming up (gee, can ya tell I live where it snows?), taking a young handy grrrl-to-be under your wing.
Keep it legal, keep it safe and have fun!

Thu, October 14, 2004 - 12:32 PMI like to reach inside of friends toilets and fix the running water problem... did that today.
I don't know much about bikes but for some reason I fixed several at Burning Man this year. There should be a no fender policy.. they just have to come off when they get so packed with hard playa making the wheel stop. -

Thu, October 14, 2004 - 1:18 PMI had that fender thing happen after I got stuck behind a water truck, but Kitty Bike's back fender would require taking apart the back wheel (old cruizer covered in leopard fur) and besides she wouldn't look as cool without her fender.
I just knocked off as much as I could with several swift kicks of my boot and then worked the playa out form under the fender with my pocket knife. Handy Grrls Rock on playa!!
