I got my deck project done, finally.
Next up is to get some trim painted and put some of those new vinyl shutters beside all the exterior windows.
This place is a fixer-upper and I can go on and on.

Hi! I discovered this group through Lisa, she not only does many projects but also takes time to keep up with friends! Anyway I haven't currently been working on any projects, been too busy repairing and painting fences and putting in my veg gardens.

I have two projets schedualed for the summer, one is to re-do my dining room, I want to paint and refinish the furniture, make new curtains and maybe do some decorative painting on the walls and the other project for the summer will be to make a horse and dog washing facility. I want to put in a cement base and maybe some tying posts. I will probebly have to make a storage unit for equipment so I won't have to haul everything from the garage.

Has anyone done anything like this? I'm tired of playing in the mud and think this would work.

Oh yea, Adele, you said you hauled cement to the basement but you did not say what you are doing with it!

repairing fences & putting in gardends count, Judi!

Wow.. sounds like your summer is going to be full! This might sounds weird, but I wonder if you could check a county extension agency for dairy cattle washing stuff for your horse & dog wash idea.. sounds nifty.

Oh yeah.. the cement.. I had a dirt trench to fill, (almost three years ago now.. geesh) the sewer collapsed in the basement the same week I asked my then boyfriend to move out.. HA! Talk about dealing with your s***! :P.. It's all done now though.. no more dirt trench.. yay! :)

I can get lots of neat stuff from catalogs, portable water heaters and everything, county extension may have some good ideas on how to set it up, I'll have to check that, I have seen such washing areas inside of large barns so I may be able to get some ideas at some of the local horse centers. The reason I am doing it this way is that I have checked out the building codes and cannot build any thing larger than 10 X 12 with out going through a lot of problems with permits and such and I don't want to have 15 small buildings on the property( even though alot of my neighbors do. Yea it shore feels good to get a project out of the way, I have a lot of unfinished tasks on my list.
